Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Seedvoy (“Seedvoy”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Seedvoy mobile application and its supporting services. Seedvoy tracks public App Store charts, rankings and ratings for the apps you choose to follow. By using Seedvoy you agree to the practices described below.

1. Our approach in short

• No account, no email, no password. Seedvoy signs you in anonymously. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
• We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• You can erase everything from inside the app at any time — see section 7.

2. Information we collect

a. Anonymous account identifier

When you first open Seedvoy, the app creates an anonymous session. This produces a random identifier that exists only to keep your tracked apps and settings attached to your installation. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your email, or any real-world identity.

b. Device and installation data

To deliver notifications and diagnose problems we store: a device identifier generated on your device, the platform (iOS or Android), the app version, the operating system version, your device language, and — only if you grant notification permission — a push notification token.

c. Content you create in the app

The apps, developers and categories you choose to follow, the folders you organise them into, and your in-app preferences (pinned countries, language, theme, sort order and whether push notifications are enabled).

d. Public App Store data

Seedvoy retrieves publicly available App Store information — chart positions, app metadata, ratings and reviews. This data is about apps, not about you, and is shared by everyone who uses Seedvoy.

e. What we do not collect

Seedvoy does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, health data, precise location or files. It does not track you across other apps or websites, and it contains no advertising SDKs.

3. How we use this information

• To show you the apps you follow and keep their rankings up to date.
• To sync your folders and preferences to your installation.
• To send you notifications about ranking changes for the apps, developers and categories you have chosen to watch — only if you enable them.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix crashes and bugs.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

4. Service providers

Seedvoy relies on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data strictly on our instructions:

• Supabase — anonymous authentication and database hosting for your tracked apps, folders and preferences.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications to your device.
• Vercel — hosting for the Seedvoy API. Standard server logs may briefly record IP addresses and request metadata for security and reliability.

We do not authorise any of these providers to use your information for their own purposes.

5. Notifications

Push notifications are optional. If you decline the permission prompt, or revoke it later in your device settings, we clear the stored push token and stop sending you notifications. You can also turn them off inside Seedvoy without changing your system settings.

6. Data retention

We keep the data described in section 2 for as long as your installation remains active, so that your tracked apps and settings are there when you return. When you delete your account, the data listed in section 7 is removed immediately.

7. Deleting your data

Seedvoy offers in-app account deletion. Deleting your account permanently removes the apps you track, your watched categories and developers, your folders, your preferences and your registered devices — including any push token.

Public App Store chart data is not deleted, because it describes apps rather than you and is shared with every other user of the service.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because Seedvoy accounts are anonymous, we may be unable to identify which stored records belong to you without information from your installation. The fastest way to exercise your erasure right is the in-app deletion described in section 7.

9. Children

Seedvoy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to production data is restricted to the people who operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

11. International transfers

Our providers operate data centres in several regions, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use of Seedvoy after an update means you accept the revised policy.
